The other Ribbon Cutting was New Chamber Member Coco Loco Chocolates, formerly, Sweet Sensation in Conway which is now located inside Country Time Flea Market. Pan Schulte, the owner is setting up for Valentine’s day, with an awesome tray of chocolate covered strawbeeries which were tested and retested. Yes they pasted the test! Store hours are the same as Country Time Flea Market. Go ahead and call in at 501-329-5211 and place your order or go by for yourself and look the goodies over. You will be glad you did.

1)  Coco Loco, new chocolate store located inside Country Time Flea Market, is new to the Chamber. Pam Schulte, owner, is stocking up for Valentine’s Day with many yummy goodies. She has salsas’ and I can testify to a very very hot one she has, along with diaper centerpieces, and much more. Check out her store during the Ribbon Cutting on Thursday, February 2nd at 9:00 am. Everyone is invited.

2)  LD and Bonnie Strickland have joined the Chamber. LD or Dean, by his friends, is on the Greenbrier City Council and resides at 6 Winter Lane. We welcome individuals who want to participate and support the Chamber by volunteering time and energy.   

3)  Greenbrier Garden Apartmments located at 54 Mountain Drive is a retirement community for 55 yrs old or older. The apartments are tax credit property and Amber Wilson the Property Manager, can answer any quesions you may have. Last member of 2011 was Nola Tee’s Boutique which we did not have a picture then–we do now. Located behind the Post Office. We will have Ribbon Cutting in March 2012.

“Get Charged Up” at the 2012 Chamber Awards Banquet.

You are invited to attend this annual event Thursday, March 29^th at the Junior High Cafetorium where you will be challenged and motivated to have a “Revved Up” business year.  Come prepared to participate in “Revitalizing” your employees, “Rekindling your attitude for success, “Refocusing” on the brass ring, and “Renewing Your Spirit” of excitement. The Chamber is changing the membership due dates. We are organizing all memberships to be due in January every year. Businesses and indivduals will be receiving an invoice with 2012 membership amounts. Some invoices will be prorated based on last receipt of your dues. Our 2012 plaques will be mailed out as memberships are paid. 

An updated information sheet will be with the invoice and you are asked to fill out and return with your dues. We want to have your current information to start our new year. Your help is needed to insure current information to advertise your business on our website, facebook, along with direct contact with others upon request. We want to give out good information and communicate with correct contacts. We look forward to our partnership in 2012 and will provide more outlets for your business. Family Entertainment, manager Rickey Gann was excited to have a Chamber Ribbon Cutting for his store. He even went all out with hot dogs and hamburgers for those who come by to offer support and business. The Spa at Springhill Salon held a Christmas Open House and a Chamber Ribbon Cutting on the same day. Allisha, Chrissa, and Megan provided a fun day with games, door prizes, hot dogs, and included the Y107 Van with J.R doing the talking. The Spa offers massages, manicures, pedicures, spy tans/tanning beds, shellac gel waxing, facials, eyelash extensions, and all your hair care needs. Hearing Life is another business where the Chamber held a Ribbon Cutting to help promote their specialities. Dr Timothy Lim, Audiologist, is located at 8-H Wilson Farm Rd. next to Integrity Insurance. The nice staff at Hearing Life are waiting to assist you with your hearing needs and with current technology at their fingertips, they will take great care of you. Rhonda Rowlett of Rowlett Realty in Greenbrier and Bo Whitaker of Edward Jones Investments for having the most votes from Chamber members. They will serve on the 2012 Chamber Board beginning Jan. 1.
