Volunteer

The Chamber relies on volunteer leaders to chair our committees and serve on our Board of Directors.  We value their time and commitment to the Chamber and to the community … for indeed, volunteers are crucial to the Chamber’s success.

There are many ways for you to meld your passion for community and your desire to serve within the Greenbrier Chamber.  Please consider serving on our board of directors, advisory board, ambassador committee, on an special events task force, or as an event volunteer.  Specific opportunities below.

Ambassador–Greenbrier Chamber Ambassadors are a key group of Chamber volunteers. Through on-going member goodwill calls and interaction at Chamber events, Chamber Ambassadors welcome new members and provide other member service assistance to the Chamber’s membership such as networking opportunities with the membership, reinforcing the benefits of Chamber Membership, increasing the members’ knowledge of the Greenbrier Chamber, soliciting members’ input on Chamber programs, and opening more channels of communication between Chamber leadership and members. We also have Jr. Ambassadors, with Loretta Burgess as Coordinator, from Greenbrier High School who help in various way throughout the school year.

Content Writer–Are you a cartoonist, blogger, writer, or want to learn how to blog and promote? Do you want to contribute to our community through your writing talent? We are looking for one or more enthusiastic and educated writers. You will have the freedom to suggest topics, but we will also provide you with community stories and web content we would like you to cover. Please send writing samples to info@greenbrierchamber.org

Photographer–Looking for a talented, creative storyteller with strong photography and editing skills and a desire to document Greenbrier’s growing community.  This volunteer should be able to work well with communications director to get visuals for stories.  Volunteer will also have an interest in attending Chamber and other community events.  Contact info@greenbrierchamber.org to volunteer.

Internships–several long term positions are currently available.  If you are interested in creating your own unique internship experience, contact Verna at 501-679-4009 to see if we can find a match for your interests.  Most internships are worth 3 credit hours.  Current positions are: Marketing/Communications Internship, Graphic Design Internship, Special Events Internship.  Email resume and cover letter to info@greenbrierchamber.org for each position.
