A new Taco Bell restaurant was given the green light during the January Greenbrier planning commission meeting. The Taco Bell planned for Greenbrier, will feature more indoor and additional outdoor dining. The new development will also feature a larger space for the drive through lane compared to the one currently, located inside Doublebees. The development will move forward on a site located in front of Harps on North Broadview.

According to site layout plans, the restaurant will feature a new modern Taco Bell design that will be the first in the state. The location was selected to provide convenient access from the main roadway while complementing existing retail and service businesses in the area.

The project is being developed by K- Mac Enterprise, a Fayetteville, Arkansas–based company and one of the nation’s largest Taco Bell franchisees. Founded in 1964, K-Mac Enterprises operates hundreds of Taco Bell locations across multiple states in the South Central and Midwest regions, including Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Missouri, and Tennessee.

K-Mac Enterprises has outlined continued growth plans through 2029 with ongoing investment in new restaurant development and modernization across its operating markets. The Greenbrier location is part of this broader strategy to expand in growing communities and meet increasing demand for quick-service dining options.

Site plans show clearly defined traffic circulation, designated entry and exit points, and parking areas designed to support efficient vehicle flow and customer access. Once completed, the restaurant is expected to create new local jobs and contribute to continued commercial activity along the Broadview Street corridor.

The plans passed during the planning commission meeting, so construction will begin soon after permits are pulled and inspections. No official opening date has been announced. The current Taco Bell will remain in business until the new location is complete. Additional updates will be released as the project progresses through the approval and construction phases.
