The Chamber Celebrates Greenbrier Eye Care

Updated: May 15

The business community came out to celebrate Greenbrier's newest, much needed addition, Greenbrier Eye Care. In association with Patterson Eye Care out of Conway, this new office will host three of Central Arkansas' premier optometrist. On Mondays, Dr. Nicholas Sachse will be primarily at the clinic. Dr. Bill Patterson, will be joining the staff on Tuesdays. Finally, Dr. Kimberly Mitchell, will be there every Wednesday through Friday.

Their experienced providers offer comprehensive vision examinations and specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide array of eye diseases, conditions, and problems. They use advanced diagnostic technology and vision correction products and are committed to improving the quality of life for anyone through enhanced vision. "We have been wanting to come to Greenbrier for quite some time, for obvious reasons. It is quite the drive from Conway to Clinton, and that is too far for a community of this size, that is thriving, to travel for eye care. It is a great pleasure to be here, and to take care of that need." said Dr. Sachse. He also encourages anyone facing any type of eye issue to allow them to assist. "Sometimes you do not get the same type of treatment when you go to an urgent care. We deal with eyes all of the time, it is our specialty so we want the opportunity to serve you first."

Dr. Nicholas Sachse added, it has been his dream since before optometry school to come and servce this area. He graduated from the University of Central Arkansas where he met his wife, Casie, a Conway native. After graduating he enlisted in the Army where he served 4 years on active duty which included a deployment to Iraq. Upon completing his time on active duty he moved back to Conway with Casie and their then-1-year-old (Mallory) and returned to UCA to obtain a Masters degree in Biology while serving in the Army Reserve. During this time the Sachse family was blessed with their second child (Tessa).

Dr. Sachse then obtained his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Southern College of Optometry. During his studies, Dr. Sachse and Casie would participate in service trips to underdeveloped countries where they quickly realized their calling to full time medical missions.

Immediately after graduation the Sachse family moved to Jamaica to work with Mission of Sight, a non-profit organization that is called to the recovery of sight for the island nation. After 3 years of international living and serving, the Sachse family came home to Conway and Dr. Sachse joined Patterson Eye Care. He still returns to Jamaica multiple times a year to help Mission of Sight with their work.

Greenbrier Eye Care is located at 287 S Broadview Suite B3 in Greenbrier behind the Remax, across the street from the Greenbrier Animal Hospital.
