The Greenbrier Chamber of Commerce proudly welcomes Barksdale Federal Credit Union to Greenbrier, officially!
Guests gathered at the newly acquired location and proudly began the ceremony with students from Westside Elementary leading in the Pledge of Allegiance, while Greenbrier Middle School 6th grader, Bria Butler sang the Star Spangled Banner. Bank and community leaders welcomed the crowd and celebrated their firm foundation in Greenbrier while paying tribute to their patriotic roots.
Barksdale Federal was established in 1954 to serve military and civilian personnel at Barksdale Air Force Base in Bossier City, Louisiana. Bank President/CEO Patrick Gullatt shared that, while they continue to proudly serve the men and women, and their families, of Barksdale Air Force Base, "they now serve over 1000 companies, associations, and churches. That foundation is as important today as it was in 1954 and remains to be what differentiates us from other financial institutions." With assets exceeding $2 billion, they are the largest locally-owned credit union in Louisiana and now proudly growing and serving Texas and Arkansas with over 30 locations and over 55,000 ATMs worldwide.
As they celebrate 70 years of service, they are committed to each and every member and we are proud they have chosen to invest in Greenbrier!
