The Greenbrier Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce In Sync Counseling as the 2026 Business of the Year. This recognition celebrates professional excellence, and a profound commitment to the well being of our community.
Every story has a starting point. For In Sync Counseling, it began with the recognition that something was missing. Too many individuals, families, and children were quietly carrying heavy burdens, and too few resources existed to truly meet their needs. In Sync was born out of that gap. This desire to build something that didn’t simply treat symptoms, but cared for the whole person is what founder Katelyn Coney firmly believes in.
Her vision has grown into a thriving, trauma-informed, multidisciplinary clinic rooted in faith, values, and the belief that healing happens best in safe, connected spaces. From day one, the mission has extended beyond mental health care. It has been about restoring people to themselves and reconnecting them with the ones they love.
Founder, Katelyn Coney, MS, LPC-S, CFRC, AADC, established In Sync Counseling with intentionality and heart. She is a licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor. Katelyn earned her Master of Science in Counseling Psychology from the University of Central Arkansas. She also holds certifications as a Certified First Responder Counselor (CFRC), Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor (AADC), and is an ICISF-certified provider in both individual and group Critical Incident Stress Management (CISM). Her professional path has been shaped by a clear calling: to close the gap between clinical expertise and genuine understanding.

With a particular passion for first responder mental health, Katelyn has built a practice that honors those who serve others. She ensures they, too, have a safe place to process, heal, and grow.
Behind the professional accolades is a deeply rooted local story. Katelyn is building her life and work right here in Greenbrier alongside her husband, Greenbrier native Mitchell Coney. Together they are raising their daughters, Chyanne and Claire, and spending their time at the ball fields, chasing big and small adventures, and simply being present with one another. For Katelyn, there is deep purpose in the rhythm of living, working, and serving in the same community.
Like many small business owners, the road has not been without challenges. Running a business can be lonely. It requires unseen sacrifices, difficult decisions that keep you awake at night, early mornings, and the constant navigation of serving clients while protecting your own family. There are hard conversations, moments of humility, creativity demanded ahead of the economy, and the courage to say “no” when a different path is needed. Yet through every season, In Sync has remained anchored in resilience.
Resilience is the heart of In Sync Counseling. The Greenbrier location recently moved into a new facility that required quite a bit of renovations. They are now located at 220 South Broadview and it houses their staff, has a state of the art sensory room and conference room. Beyond providing a comfortable space, they help their clients survive hardships and thrive beyond it. The team equips clients with tools they can carry into every area of life: communication skills, healthy coping strategies, family support systems, and the confidence to keep moving forward. At In Sync, healing is about avoiding difficulty and facing it with courage and community.
Today, In Sync Counseling continues to expand its impact, with plans for trainings, wellness seminars, and retreats on the horizon. The vision extends beyond clients to the next generation of mental health professionals by creating a supportive, values-aligned environment where clinicians can grow, specialize, and build meaningful careers.
At its core, In Sync believes mental health care should be accessible, relational, and holistic. The clinic is more than a workplace, it is a family. It is a home for the 24 employees who serve there, and a safe haven for those who walk through its doors seeking hope.

In Sync Counseling helps our community become stronger, healthier, and more connected.
